Clackmannan Development Trust (CDT) was formed in March 2013. The Trust operates by a management committee (Trustees) as voted in at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting – all of whom are local residents, who volunteer their time to support the trust. Click here to meet them.
The aim of CDT is to work towards making Clackmannan a better place to work, live and visit.
In 2014, Coalfields Regeneration Trust selected Clackmannan Development Trust to participate in their Community Futures Programme to; encourage active citizenship, build upon local democracy and develop local planning for a sustainable community.
From the information gained via this programme, a 5 year Community Action Plan for Clackmannan (2015-2020) was created.

In June 2016, to help support the delivery of the Community Action Plan, CDT were awarded funding from Coalfields Regeneration Trust Scotland to fund a full time Community Development Officer for 1 year. In June 2017 the Trust was awarded 3 years of futher funding by Big Lottery to continue to develop it’s work.
In March 2020 the Trust’s funded was extended for a further 3 years.
